22nd July 1998

British Digital Broadcasting Plc (BDB) today announced that Ashley Faull will join its Board as Executive Director of Broadcasting. He will be responsible for programming strategy, deal negotiation and the on-air look of BDB.

Since 1996, Faull has been Director of Programming at Telewest Communications, the UK's largest cable TV and telephone company. He created Telewest's ground breaking Millenium packaging; he successively improved the margins on its cable TV business, and he is a Director of Front Row, the cable industry's recently launched pay-per-view operation.

Previously, Faull was on the programming side of the business at Flextech plc, where he spent six years helping to launch over 10 channels on cable and satellite in the UK and continental Europe. He worked across advertising sales, marketing and distribution and eventually became Vice President, Corporate Strategy.

Stephen Grabiner, Chief Executive of BDB, said:

"I am delighted that we have now completed our executive team and believe Ashley's multichannel experience as both a programmer and a distributor will prove invaluable to our success. He complements our existing team and brings a unique set of commercial and promotional skills to the digital era".

Ashley Faull commented:

"I obviously relish the opportunity to help BDB create a new, dynamic and successful broadcasting platform in the UK."
